Axscend Ltd is a UK a based trailer telematics specialist with a passion for innovation. Part of the SAF-HOLLAND group, we now bring over 140 years of trailer expertise and the support of over 3000 colleagues globally.
We work with some of the biggest Transport Operators, Trailer Manufacturers and Supermarkets in the UK, and are looking for an experienced Product Manager to join our team to further establish, approve and drive the regional product line agenda.

You will be the “customers’ voice”, being the products’ link between the market on one hand, the sales teams, and functions on the other. You will prioritize requirements based on what’s best for SAF-Holland/Haldex and coordinate organizational agreement and execution. The essence of the job includes (but is not limited to) the main tasks and responsibilities defined below in the next section of this description.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Product Management and strategy for the Product line
Prepare and drive regional product strategy
Generate Product Roadmap based on the Company Strategy
Create business plan including growth and profitability, overall investment, and manufacturing recommendations
Continuously follow up profitability and drive necessary improvements based on available data
Drive time to market, margin, and cost targets in the field of the Product Line
Filter incoming customer requests for applications, if required to become projects
Recommend global branding and overall messaging for the Product Line
Product development, initiation, and support:
Creation of functional requirements and customer benefit analyses
Coordination of customer-related activities inside and outside the company together with sales
Support sales department in the preparation of quotations and the conclusion of contracts. Coordinates Business Case for the project/product line.
Cooperation with global project and development teams
Support technical discussions with suppliers, customers, and partners at home and abroad
Decide on product launch plans, product positioning and strategy
Support of internal and external functions during operational market launch.
Determining the marketing mix
Support adequate IP protection
Life Cycle Management
Establish End-of-Life Phase Out Plan and Product discontinuation
Product support:
Creation of strategic and technical documents and roadmaps as well as customer and product presentations
Product training to Sales and Customers.
Market observation:
Continuous analysis of the market, customers, and the competition
Follow up Market Trends and Megatrends
Creation of sales forecasts, identification of expected trends and creation of competitive comparisons in cooperation with sales.
Education:
Minimum BSc in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or comparable
Additional education in the field of management or business administration is an advantage
APQP Training and Experience
Experience:
Demonstrable experience in product management and B2B
Experience in the automotive sector, especially in the commercial vehicle segment
Experience from Change Management and Project Management is an advantage
