Job Title: Product Manager

Location: Bedford, Bedfordshire

Pay Range: £35,000 - £50,000 DOE + Benefits.

Contract Type: Permanent

Omega is supporting this specialist Automation and Drives supplier, who are the providers of leading Automation solutions to a range of different clients, with a focus on OEM Machinery Manufacturers. Recently, they have been acquired by a global leading industrial distributor, who boast 750+ locations across 22 countries, cementing them as Europe’s largest business in this field.
They are seeking a Product Manager, looking for a new challenge, to support their growth and new product development. Reporting to the Sales Director, within a vibrant and fast paced team, you’ll be responsible for providing technical support, and business development, across a specific product category.

Key Responsibilities – Product Manager

• Technical product support to customers
• Follow up of sales & technical enquiries
• Maintain an active project list, with agreed actions/follow-ups
• Possess knowledge of key competitors and ability to cross-reference
• Conduct Product demonstrations if required
• Assist with processing of Customer returns

What We Want From You – Product Manager

• Although not essential, ideally you will be degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline (such as Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronic, Physics). An similar equivalent qualification will be considered
• Experience in Motors, Gearboxes and Power Transmission technologies, applications and industries
• Good interpersonal and presentation skills
• High accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a team or under own initiative
• Knowledge of Office Applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
