Manager " within the Customer Solutions business unit.In this role you will work closely with the Regional Business Unit Manager and salesforce to analyse the market for Medical devices within the Customer Solutions portfolio and to leverage the wider Olympus Business unit portfolios to further success of Olympus’s digital platforms.Partnering with the Regional Business Unit Manager to support the creation and dissemination of an effective marketing and sales strategy and implementing this to achieve the greatest return on investment from Olympus resources.What is the purpose of this position?Coordinating product lifecycle management for the portfolio, including product introduction and discontinuation, delivery of product related training to the salesforce and Olympus customer base, and planning / sales forecasting.Oversee the introduction, change and discontinuation of all products within the portfolio, including:Professionally liaising with suppliers, both verbally and written, to obtain and maintain all relevant information required for the company’s ERP system (IFS) introduction, change and discontinuation proceduresCoordinate product introductions, including effective and professional communication of product position, key sales messages, marketing strategy and competitive environment to the sales teams and company through written communication and presenting in informal and/or formal environmentsParticipation in S-BC, M-BC or supplier meetings including CORE group and planning meetings to represent the needs of the UK & Ireland businessParticipate in internal meetings such as marketing meetings and sales meetings, including preparing and presenting updates on areas including product portfolio, sales results and market situationInventory management including identification of ‘next day delivery products’, supporting the needs of the business following supply chain issues, and defining / monitoring on an ongoing basis appropriate levels of demonstration inventory to support the company’s sales activities.Work internal teams to produce accurate monthly, quarterly and annual sales and purchasing forecast data for the specified product range.Work with RBUM and Pricing Manager to set pricing strategy in line with company process for the specified product range, including conducting annual pricing reviews.Support of RA/QA post-market surveillance activities including field corrective actions and product recalls and the management of product related quality concernsUpstream communication of unmet market needs, prototype evaluations and market analysisCoordinate the Business Unit’s marketing activities including:Prepare and implement the annual marketing plan for the product portfolio including budgetary considerations and approvalCollaboratively working with Olympus Europa and the Market Access team to adapt and create value propositions to fit the UK and Irish SD marketIdentifying and managing participation in events and professional educationProduce and implement sales tools to support sales team activities including business intelligence and sales tools such as QlikView dashboards, sales proposal templates and quotation buildersSupport for tender, bids and framework agreement submissionsDeliver the Business Unit’s product related training activities including:Production and maintenance of training modules on Umantis covering the product portfolio and its applicationDelivery of product training modulesOccasional support of sales team in the effective demonstration of the product portfolioCustomer Facing ActivitiesRepresenting the company in customer facing environments including hospitals, clinical procedure rooms, congresses and events:Identifying and maintaining details of key Health Care Professional Experts (HCPEs),Supporting engagement with HCPEs to enable upstream marketing of unmet needsSupport the company’s customer facing activities at key congresses and courses where appropriateCoordinating analysis of market trends for all products within the portfolio, including:Understanding and disseminating competitor strategy and activities to the sales team and sales management to support the company’s own sales activitiesAwareness and dissemination of relevant clinical guidelines and publications to the sales team and sales management to support the company’s own sales activitiesSupport the company’s market access initiatives including the preparation of materials to facilitate Health Technology Appraisals (HTA)What skills and qualifications are we looking for?Minimum 3 years experience in Medical Device related product management and/or marketing and/or sales (36 months desirable)Prior experience in theatre construction or digital healthcare technologies related discipline would be advantageousClear and concise written and spoken communication skillsAnalytical approach with the ability to present complex information in a structured, simple and balanced wayHigher level education in a related discipline would be advantageousGood working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPointPositive attitudeSolution provider - able to work independently using initiative to solve complex problemsCapable of working effectively as part of a teamWilling to travel and occasionally work unsocial
