We are looking for an engineer with an electrical background, as this experience�is transferable�to the Product Support Engineer for a�company in Crewkerne that has a great company culture and puts its staff first.� �
Whether you are an engineer that wants to come off the tools or you have just started a career, perhaps�you are a graduate in electrical engineering, we would like to hear from you.�
This is a permanent�position working a 35 hour week.� Whilst training is completed you will need to be in the office 5 days however, once trained you can work 3 days in the office and 2 days at home.� The salary is upto �40,000 as this will depend on the level of experience�you have.
Your role will be to liaise directly with the customer to advise them on the correct parts to suit their business.� They are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering a first class service to the customer, every time.� You'll also help the Sales and Business Development Team with technical queries and update and create technical specifications and 3D CAD drawings.� Other responsibilities of the role are:
  • Maintain the software database of product specifications
  • Guide customers through step by step solutions
  • Document and track customer issues and resolutions using our ticket base system
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve complex issues
  • PCB evaluations of customer circuit and boards
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles
  • Conduct training sessions for customers and internal staff
  • Stay updated with product knowledge and industry trends
  • Ensure timely and effective resolution of customer inquiries
  • Occasional visits to customers in UK and Europe may be require
Key skills, knowledge and experience
  • National Diploma or higher in an engineering-related field, preferably electronics
  • Proven experience in technical support or a similar role
  • Knowledge of electronics, especially frequency products
  • Ability to learn new software independently
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong Excel skills to include X Look ups�and formulas and other Microsoft packages
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues
  • Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, macOS)
  • Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality support
