Our client an impressive�Poole based engineering business are looking for a Production Engineer to join their team.This position will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving manufacturing processes and equipment. A position of responsibility, you would be involved with supporting, guiding, and training operators, proposing and managing multiple projects, ensuring health and safety standards, and be a true champion in continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities as Production Engineer

• Maintain and improve manufacturing processes and procedures
• Support, guide, and train operators
• Prepare and manage proposals and projects
• Ensure health and safety standards are upheld
• Verify and provide training on programs to team members with less experience
• Coordinate project teams and work load
• Produce programs for a variety of multi-axis CNC machines
• Collaborate on the design of new cutting tools
• Utilise the MRP/ERP system to update production engineering information

Qualifications and Experience as Production Engineer

• Experience in a manufacturing/machining position
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite and CAM software
• Strong communication and delegation skills
• Ability to liaise across departments confidently
• Knowledge of continuous improvement and lean initiatives
• Experience in project management and cost-saving measures
• Ability to run and coordinate project teams
