Production Machine Operator 

Job Type: Permanent, full time 
Hours:  40-hour week, Monday – Friday 
Salary:  £23,795 - £26,000 DOE - any time worked over hours paid at x 1.5 

Our client is looking for a Production Machine Operator to support with their growing workload. 

This role requires someone who can adapt to change quickly, prioritise jobs coming in last minute and be forthcoming with ideas. Please note that this role is very physically demanding.

Responsibilities for Production Operative:

• Operate production machinery and equipment to manufacture bespoke products
• Follow strict standard operating procedures and safety guidelines to ensure efficient and safe production processes
• Adhere to accreditation quality, hygiene and safety policies
• Perform quality checks during manufacture and on finished products to ensure they meet specifications
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic maintenance tasks as needed
• Assemble components as required
• Operate machinery, hand tools and power tools to complete assigned tasks
• Read and interpret Works Orders to meet customer exact specifications
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
• Maintain a clean and organised work area

Requirements

• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
• Ability to operate machinery, use hand tools and power tools effectively and safely
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
• Previous experience in a warehouse or production setting is preferred
