Production Manager – Exciting Growth OpportunityAn established, family-owned manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Production Manager to support its expansion and succession plans. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented individual to progress relatively quickly through the ranks.About the Company: The company has a workforce of approx 40 employees, with 20 dedicated to production. The business has seen consistent growth, driven by a focus on customer support and innovation, with a robust culture of Continuous Improvement (CI).They are committed to fostering a lean, efficient production environment and have already invested in training key staff in Six Sigma methodologies. This is a business that values forward-thinking leadership and operational excellence.Key Responsibilities:Lead, manage, and develop production staff to enhance team performance.Plan and schedule production activities to meet business demands.Monitor production metrics such as Productivity, Utilization, and OEE.Identify and drive Continuous Improvement and Lean projects in the production department.Optimize costs and increase overall productivity across the production line.Manage equipment maintenance programs, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.Prepare business cases for equipment procurement and other production investments.Future Development Opportunities: The role offers scope for further responsibility in areas such as:Purchasing and materials managementWarehouse operationsProduction controlCandidate Requirements:Minimum of three years of experience in production supervision/management within a manufacturing environment.Preferably, experience in sheet metal fabrication or a similar industry.Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage change and bring teams along on that journey.Strategic thinking and a proactive approach to process improvement.Qualifications in engineering, lean manufacturing, or business are advantageous.Familiarity with quality, environmental, and safety management systems is a plus.What’s On Offer:Competitive salary ranging from £40,000 to £50,000, based on experience and qualifications.Profit-sharing bonus scheme.Flexitime and 33 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays), increasing to 35 days with service.This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated and forward-thinking individual to join a growing company and shape the future of its production department.
