Job Title: Production Manager - Rail Sector (Open to other Sectors)

Location: Crawley, West Sussex

Salary: Circa £60,000 - Working on rotating shift, days, lates and nights.

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Production Manager with a strong background in armed forces, aviation, or transportation-related sectors. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional line management skills and high-level technical knowledge to effectively address and resolve production issues as they arise.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the production process, ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety regulations.
  • Lead and manage a diverse team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure seamless integration of processes.
  • Monitor production metrics and implement strategies for improvement.
  • Maintain compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Prepare and present production reports to senior management.

Qualifications:


  • Proven experience in a production management role, preferably in the rolling stock, aviation, or transportation sectors.
  • Strong line management skills with the ability to lead and motivate teams effectively.
  • High-level technical knowledge relevant to production processes and equipment.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
  • A background in the armed forces or relevant technical training is highly regarded.
