Production Manager

Role Summary

Lead production operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality. Drive operational excellence through leadership, staff development, and adherence to lean manufacturing principles.

Key Responsibilities

� Health, Safety & Compliance

� Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards for employees, visitors, and contractors.

� Maintain site security, fire safety, and first aid provisions.

� Uphold ISO13485 QMS standards, conducting audits as required.

Leadership & Team Management

� Lead and develop supervisors/team leaders, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.

� Motivate teams to meet production targets while maintaining quality and cost efficiency.

� Oversee resource planning, including labour allocation, overtime authorisation, and recruitment.

Staff Development & Performance

� Implement training programs to enhance workforce versatility and skills.

� Oversee onboarding and career development initiatives.

� Conduct performance reviews and coaching to drive excellence.

Production & Operational Excellence

� Ensure on-time, in-full (OTIF) product delivery to meet customer expectations.

� Optimise workflow, stock control, and material flow to improve lead times and efficiency.

� Drive lean manufacturing, error-proofing, and process standardisation.

� Oversee site infrastructure maintenance and recommend capital equipment investments.

Financial & Strategic Management

� Monitor production costs, identifying efficiency opportunities.

� Collaborate with finance teams to optimise resource allocation and cost control.
