Production Operative

Our client based on the outskirts of Shepton Mallet have an opportunity for a Factory Worker to join their friendly team on a temporary basis in their dairy facility on an entry level.

This opportunity is ongoing for the right candidate with the potential to become a permanent role and receive great rates of pay and benefits.

This role has a physical element and the right candidate will be robust and bodily capable.

Key responsibilities:

• Undertaking manual handling tasks including hand stacking product/packing into boxes and onto pallets


• Working steadily and methodically to carry our routine manual handling


• Bagging and sealing cheese and checking for foreign body contaminants


• Operating and monitoring production equipment safely


• Working within all company policies and procedures, including Health and Safety and Food Safety Standards

Requirements:

• Basic numeracy and literacy level including a basic understanding of English


• Manual Handling aware/trained with physical fitness/hard working


• Due Diligence with an eye for detail


• Excellent team player as well as ability to work under their own esteem


• Driving is essential due to the site location

Salary:

£12.27 per hour

Overtime rate after 40 hours:

£17.12 per hour

Hours:

Double rotating shift:

5.45am to 2.15pm

1.45pm to 10.15pm

Monday to Friday
