Job Title: Production Planning Engineer

Location: Brize Norton



Job Purpose:

Pre-input planning of customer aircraft line and base maintenance in accordance with MAA Regulatory requirements governing P145 AMO. This includes creation of aircraft work packs, issuance of pre-load, task breakdown, and other scheduled maintenance planning activities. The role provides full on-site planning support to the production teams.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Review customer work packs to ensure they are within the scope of P145 as detailed in the MOE.

  • Assemble scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance work packages, including milestones, resource, and critical path planning.

  • Generate new task cards for complex maintenance tasks.

  • Produce reports detailing access requirements, tooling, parts, and material call-ups.

  • Identify and manage work content requiring external agencies and subcontractors.

  • Identify complex, safety-critical, critical path tasks, and any additional P145 AMO regulatory requirements.

  • Ensure task cards are accurate and complete, and apply task time estimates.

  • Organize and chair pre-input meetings with multiple stakeholders for all base inputs.

  • Follow MOE and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.



Health and Safety Responsibilities:




  • Understand and manage individual operational safety and security responsibilities.

  • Ensure personal health and safety and the health and safety of others at work.

  • Be aware of aviation safety responsibilities as outlined in the Safety Policy.

  • Understand aviation security responsibilities as per the Security Policy.



Essential Skills and Qualifications:




  • Experience in using aircraft technical documentation for maintenance planning.

  • Good working knowledge of MAA Regulations and CAMO P145 interface requirements.

  • Excellent organisational ability with high attention to detail and logical task sequencing.

  • Previous experience in civil or military maintenance/production planning, with base or line planning.

  • Ability to review tasks for adequate planning considering Human Factors.

  • Ability to converse with customers at all levels of seniority.

  • Good working knowledge of AMOS or similar systems in a production planning role.

  • Advanced level experience with Outlook, Word, and Excel.



Desirable Skills:




  • Strong project management skills with lean management principles.

  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of financial, commercial, and procurement processes.

  • Recognised aircraft engineering qualification.
