Morson Talent have an exciting opportunity for a Production Scheduler to join a company that specialise in operational technology and digital transformation, continuously innovating to stay at the forefront of their field. They operate in highly regulated and challenging industrial environments, delivering critical projects across energy, water, renewables, and manufacturing sectors.
The role of the Production Scheduler is key to ensuring the project manufacturing and test requirement miles stones are identified and planned, to ensure the designs, materials, resource and production space are available to ensure timely delivery to our customers.
The post holder will be required to take a hands-on approach, liaising across several departments building excellent working relationships to ensure tasks are programmed, co-ordinated and completed on time.
Summary of Production Schedular Role:
• Collaborate closely with different business areas to ensure seamless planning coordination in order to achieve the required delivery targets
• Regularly update the production schedule for all projects to ensure availability of resource and production capacity
• Maintain the electronic production status page which tracks the projects through production giving visibility of project progress to the wider business
• Conduct regular meetings both face-to-face and via video conferencing platforms
• Ensure design timescales are understood and incorporated into the production plan
• Ensure material delivery timescales are understood and incorporated into the production plan
• Conduct weekly meetings with project managers to review progress or the design, documents being issued, and assess required availability of parts delivery
• Conduct weekly meetings across support teams to gather status information, collate data and provide production management with progress updates
• Work with the Stores team to monitor and maintain consignment stock levels in line with production demand.
• Compile and record necessary data used to produce Management monthly reports
• Archive project build data to facilitate learning from experience
Skills and Experience Required:
• Have the ability to develop and nurture working relationships
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office in particular being able to use Excel to an advanced level employing conditional formatting, VLOOKUP, IF statements, pivot tables and more
• Be both proactive and reactive in their approach to the role to ensure all planning, scheduling and reactivity to issues are well-managed
• Be a strong problem-solver
• Possess a flexible approach able to adapt to changing requirements at short notice
• Have a positive and proactive attitude, demonstrating a willingness to take on challenges, find solutions and cooperate with the ideas and solutions of others
• Can remain calm under pressure
• Maintain a professional, accountable, proactive, and helpful attitude always
• Maintain the ability and maturity to give and receive feedback constructively and negotiate with colleagues harmoniously
• Scheduling: 1 year (required)
• Production Planning: 1 year (preferred)
