Production Supervisor Glengarnock | Full Time | Hourly Rate dependent on experience



Anderson Stewart Castings has been a manufacturer of precision investment castings for more than fifty years and is one of the most experienced foundries offering this specialised process.



Utilising Investment casting or “Lost Wax” process, the company produces castings in a wide range of alloys, both ferrous and non-ferrous, and supplies international customers in the whole spectrum of markets in the United Kingdom and overseas.

What will your role as a Production Supervisor for Wax Room/Shell Room look like?



 Production Supervision & Planning




  • Oversee production processes, control and manage your department

  • When required, cover for other supervisors

  • Supervise and sign off any equipment changes or amendments

  • With production teams establish a 4-week rolling plan – People, Machinery, Materials

  • Allocation of resources to achieve the production plan

  • Ensure adherence to Quality Control PPAP and ISO9001 standard

  • Ensure company procedures are followed by team

  • In conjunction with Production Manager and Maintenance team, organise equipment repair and routine maintenance

  • Supervisor the Occupational Health & Safety and housekeeping standards for the area and ensure compliance

  • Participate in risk assessments for your area



Team Management




  • Conduct performance reviews, return to work interviews, and coordinate holidays to fit production needs

  • Ensure all employees are trained on new equipment and relevant risk assessment with support from H&S

  • Communicate any relevant company information and updates to procedures to team



Are you the right person for the job?




  • Safety conscious

  • Can do attitude

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Production Supervisor (Engineering company preferred, but other types of manufacturing backgrounds will be given serious consideration)

  • Ability to hit the ground running as a supervisor of a production unit

  • Initiative-taking with an eye for detail and good communication skills

  • Live within a commutable distance and have the right to work in the UK



Hours of Work – 39 hours per week



7.30am – 4.30pm Monday – Thursday



7.30am – 12.30pm Friday
