Production Supervisor

My Walsall based Engineering client have a fantastic opportunity for a Production Supervisor to join the company.� This is a new and exciting position due to expansion and growth.

Duties:-

• Controlling and allocating resources (responsible for around 10/16 personnel)


• Assist in control of consumables.


• Advice and control of tooling / jigs & fixtures


• Represent specialist field.


• Setting up and maintaining production targets / dates.


• Assist in data / time recording of hours.


• Liaise with QA / Contracts on welding methods.


• Planning, assigning, and directing production work.


• Maintaining organisation and discipline.


• Appraising staff performance.


• Monitoring health & safety in the workplace.


• Issuing work / jobs packages.


• Promote and monitor quality awareness.


• Promote teamwork and communication.


• Assist the site services department.


• Assist in maintaining security of the building and contents.


• Assist in training new starters / apprentices.


• Maintain general cleanliness of areas.

Key Skills:-

• Essential you have worked a Production Supervisor previously


• If you have a fabrication & welding background this is advantageous


• Must have the ability to able to read & interpret engineering drawings.


• Good man management skills


• Able to work on own initiative
