We support flexible working arrangements wherever possible.Position SummaryThe aim of the role is to effectively manage a team of Operators on shift ensuring the achievement of key performance and production targets.ResponsibilitiesTo be the responsible person on site.Ensure Health and Safety standards are maintained, enforced and adhered to.Ensure KPI’s are achieved and customer service targets are met.Appraise, monitor and develop skill levels within teamOrganise training where appropriate and record appropriately.Prioritise workloads, effectively supervise and organise utilisation of staff.Managing and motivate team.Maintaining and developing operating procedures.Responsible for ensuring that operating procedures and tasks are being carried out in accordance with relevant procedures and Quality documentation.Ensure the workplace is operating in a safe, fair, effective and constructive manner.Supervise in a fair, effective and constructive manner.Monitor and maintain shift discipline in line with Company policies.Monitor and record machine outputs, scrap levels and efficiencies,Facilitate and drive improvement initiatives.Be proactive in the development and introduction of new equipment and processes.Proactive Problem solving, establishing root cause.Effectively liaise with other departments and colleagues on work related issues.Attend daily production meetings with relevant facts and data.Management of projects as required.Embrace and lead 5S and continuous improvement activities.Champion OEE software introductionCommunicate the companies goals, objectives and policies to the teamTo lead by exampleTraining, coaching and mentoring of Team-leadersAny other duties commensurate with the position as and when required.What we are looking forMinimum 3-5 years experience in leading a team in a technical or high volume manufacturing environment.Must have Management trainingEngineering background and/or engineering qualifications are an advantage.Essential experience (with the ability to demonstrate achievement) in implementing improvement activities and using modern manufacturing tools and techniques.Able to demonstrate Project Manager experience and use of PM tools.Must be enthusiastic, flexible, determined and proactive.Must possess good communication and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with people at all levels within and outside of the organization.Good people management skills to effectively lead and develop the team.Good PC skills, especially Excel, Word to a minimum level of intermediate or higherAbility to effectively manage their own time and tasks and those of their team.Proactive and flexible with the ability to use their own initiative and make decisions.Have good attention to detail.Be able to multi task in a busy environment and meet tight deadlines.Be determined and consistent in enforcing the rules and procedures within the Company.Come join us!Energizer is an equal opportunity employer, and we prohibit discrimination based on age, color, disability, marital or parental status, veteran status, national origin, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other legally protected status in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
