The Recruitment Group is working with a well-established and successful company within the timber industry. They are a growing company and are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to join their team.
Purpose of the Production Supervisor role:
Our client is looking for a proactive and experienced Production Supervisor to join their team in Hull. The successful candidate will oversee a team of approximately 30 employees, ensuring smooth and efficient production processes while maintaining high-quality standards. This hands-on role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to support the Production Manager in daily operations and senior management meetings.
Main duties and responsibilities of Production Supervisor:


  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the production team to meet daily production targets.
  • Ensure all quality control standards are adhered to, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues promptly to minimise downtime.
  • Monitor and improve productivity and efficiency across the production floor.
  • Collaborate with the Production Manager to implement operational strategies and process improvements.
  • Provide detailed reports on production performance and participate in senior management meetings.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety protocols.
  • Motivate, train, and develop team members to enhance skills and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and production schedules.


Experience / knowledge requirements of Production Supervisor:


  • Proven experience as a Production Supervisor in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to be firm but fair in managing a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Solid understanding of quality control and continuous improvement practices.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks under pressure.
