Location: Grantham
Working hours: Monday – Thursday 7:45am – 3:45pm, Friday 7:45am – 3:15pm
37.5 hours a week
Pay rate: To be discussed in application

Our client is a global manufacturing company, specialising in providing engineering solutions to an extensive list of high-profile companies. This Production Team Leader role will be responsible for overseeing the assembly of hydraulics and valves for various industries.

The successful Production Team Leader will be responsible for:

Producing hydraulic components using hand tools and machinery,
Following standard operating procedures in order to assemble components in a timely manner, accurately and to the quality expected,
Operate and monitor assembly line machines,
Escalate line problems to supervisors,
Performs minor assembly line set up duties in preparation of assembly operations,
Meeting established unit production targets,
Inspection of all work, ensuring that any defects are identified,
Complete paperwork as required,
Keeps work area clean and tidy,
Observing safety rules at all times,

The ideal Production Team Leader will have:

Previous experience working within a production, manufacturing or engineering environment is essential
Technical knowledge and ability to read SOPs, blueprints, drawings etc.

Ability to use hand tools,
Good understanding of quality control principles,
Good communication skills (verbal and written),
Computer literate.
