Professional Support Lawyer

Finance, Corporate & Regulatory Professional Support Lawyer. 12 month FTC, Part Time. 3+ PQE.
Our client, a
reputable offshore law firm
, is currently looking to secure the assistance of a
Professional Support Lawyer to support their finance, corporate and regulatory team (Financial Services & Regulatory practice group) on a 12 month FTC, on a part time basis, for 21 hours per week.
The role can be aligned to any of their offices or undertaken on a remote basis.
The successful individual is likely to be a qualified lawyer with
at least 3 years’ post qualified experience in corporate, banking and finance, funds and regulatory work
. Any prior experience working as a Professional Support Lawyer would be desirable but not essential. Exposure to working in an offshore firm would also be of interest but not a prerequisite.
Key responsibilities will include:
Providing professional and technical legal support to fee-earners across the practice group
Contributing to
standard forms and precedents
Horizon scanning
to keep the firm and team up to date with the latest legal and regulatory developments
Building know-how collateral
Developing and providing topical
technical training and seminars
to the internal team and external clients
Exploring and utilising automation and technology uses for the knowledge management / professional support team
Ad hoc In-House legal matters to include reviewing supplier agreements and acting as a point of contact for general queries from the team
In joining the team, the successful professional support lawyer will work closely with all fee earners within the financial services and regulatory practice group, and report into the Knowledge Management Director.
This is a
unique, part time opportunity (21 hours per week)
