We also run and manage our IT infrastructure, data center's and core banking systems that power the world’s leading international bank.Our multi-disciplined teams include DevOps engineers, IT architects, front and back-end developers, infrastructure specialists, cyber experts, as well as project and programme managers.CTO function consists of several areas (Connectivity, Service Management, Enterprise Infrastructure, Colleagues and Collaboration) that contribute individually but also collaboratively to form the final CTO products and services that are consumed across the bank.ResponsibilitiesThe role holder will report to the Head of CTO Change Portfolio Management and will operate as the dedicated PMO Engagement Lead for at least one of the CTO Areas.The role holder will:• Partner with Areas’ stakeholders, Project and Program Sponsors & Transformation Leads across all CTO Portfolios and collaborate with them on regular basis.• Work as single point of contact between Areas and the Central PMO function.• Support the effective delivery of the Area’s portfolio outcomes, ensuring these are aligned to the organisational strategic requirements and priorities.• Work along with Area stakeholders to drive the delivery of accurate and timely plan.• Report on Area’s portfolio health back to the PMO Lead, Head of PMO Change Management and ExCo.• Identify thematic Risks and Issues for the Area and report these back to Central PMO.• Ensure the Area’s programmes adhere to Client Frameworks and standards.• Support Area’s annual planning activities, advise on best methods and perform health checks on resource supply and demand requirements.• Ensure Area’s programmes are well interlocked with other programmes within HSBC Technology and are well understood and managed.• Not own any governed programmes or projects but will be responsible for monitoring the Area’s Programmes/Portfolios/projects.Requirements• Very good understanding of Portfolio management frameworks, methodologies, and best practice techniques• Pro-active problem-solving skills with strong experience of negotiating, documenting and presenting recommendations to deliver shared outcomes.• Critical thinking, able to work to under pressure to challenging timescales and deliver at pace.• Excellent stakeholder management, presentation, and communication skills – Proven experience of exposure to Senior stakeholders is critical.• Very good leadership skills and ability to engage and bring different teams together.• Strong understanding and experience of financial planning processes including forecasting, management of variances and common project accounting principles (e.g. cash, directs and P&L accounting)• Very good time management skills and ability to work under challenging timescales to deliver at pace.• Experience of programme and project management methods (e.g. MSP,PMI, Prince2)• Very good time management skills and ability to work under challenging timescales to deliver at pace.• Experience of continuous improvement.• Strong knowledge of technology infrastructure products and platforms and fintech.• Strong/ in-depth reporting skills as data reported to CTO level. Ability to turn around ad-hoc requests into high level reports from senior management.
