Job DescriptionWe are the public body that looks after England’s historic environment. We champion historic places, helping people understand, value and care for them.We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join us as our Programme Officer (Shared Services).This post is a Fixed-Term contract until 31st August 2025.The location of this role is National where we offer hybrid working, you will be based in one of our following offices and from home - Newcastle, York, Manchester, Birmingham, Swindon, Bristol, Portsmouth (Fort Cumberland) and Cambridge.What you will be doingAs our Programme Officer (Shared Services), you will be working with the Programme Manager to oversee and support a Shared Services Programme in order to realise our Strategy and Corporate Plan. You will be contributing to the running of the Programmes Team in Business Improvement.You will support the Programme Manager in the delivery of the Shared Services Programme by managing and supporting the delivery of Human Resources (HR), Payroll and IMT projects, or Finance-related projects from initiation through to closure.You will take the lead on resource management, progress monitoring and reporting activities for assigned projects, preparing verbal and written updates for the Programme Manager, Senior Responsible Owner, programme boards and other governance structures as required.Who we are looking forDemonstrable experience of planning and managing HR, Payroll and IMT OR Finance projects or programmes, or supporting the management and delivery of larger scale and complex HR, Payroll and IMT or Finance projects and programmes.Familiarity with the operation of Finance OR HR systems and the deliverables of a finance OR HR teamAbility to analyse information and present it and its conclusions in a clear and concise manner.Strong organisation skills, particularly the ability to prioritise and work to challenging deadlines.Good attention to detail.We are an equal opportunity employer which values diversity and inclusion.
