Due to growth of an ongoing programme, we are recruiting a number of Programme Specialists to join our existing team. The Programme Specialists closely support one of our key customers, a newly formed scientific research funding agency, based in Central London.
This role will involve working closely with the Programme Directors, executive board and operations teams on programme delivery and operational support. As a consultancy partner, the Programme Specialist will provide delivery expertise to enable the Programme Directors to achieve their strategic objectives.
Role:
Accountabilities of the Consultant (Programme Specialist) will include:
Define and agree the approach, plan and resources required to deliver the scope of work
Work closely with Programme Directors, Product teams and external stakeholders, providing ongoing programme and project management support
Managing and reviewing project proposals, as well as necessary documentation
Interface with internal PMO teams and cross-collaborate with Pace core project and communications teams, understanding requirements from wider functions such as procurement and finance
Deliver effective and comprehensive RAID management and project reporting
Identify and manage any risks to the project
Plan, co-ordinate and facilitate stakeholder workshops and events
Required skills and experience:
Strong programme and project delivery expertise with excellent knowledge of Project Management tools and techniques, such as Prince2, APM, Agile, Scrum, Waterfall (ideally certified)
Experience working in fast-paced and unstructured environments, either within the scientific field, R&D, life sciences, healthcare, energy, or within start-ups / scale-ups
Experience in early-phase projects, particularly in establishing processes and project governance, onboarding systems and tools
Demonstrated experience of influencing key stakeholders across the organisation
Excellent engagement skills (including interviewing, facilitating, mediating and presenting) are essential
