You may have previous consulting experience or looking to move into the consulting profession. You’ll have an expert knowledge of scheduling, an analytical mindset, good leadership skills and be a strong communicator focussed on the client and trusted to deliver.As a member of our growing Whitetree family, you’ll work alongside many skilled veterans and defence industry colleagues. Skills and experience we’re seeking includes:· A working knowledge of project management principles· Expert knowledge of scheduling, EVM, SRA and Risk Analysis· Consultancy experience within UK Defence would be highly beneficial· Tools: Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint· Desirable qualifications: Prince2, Primavera P6, APMP· Business winning experience would be desirable· Leadership skills, effective leadership, mentoring and cross-team collaboration· Ability to work confidently in an autonomous post and as being a respected team player· An articulate and effective communicator, able to listen and clearly present information· An organised nature, able to juggle tasks, work to deadlines and manage changing priorities· At home with a high pace of change, adapting your delivery method to suit your project· An optimistic and driven approach, able to quickly build lasting professional relationships· Natural problem solver, challenging the ‘status quo’ to offer innovative solutions· Current right to live and work in the UK· Current SC clearance or willing and eligible to undergo a Security Clearance check*· Happy to travelThe RoleProject Controls plays a vital role in ensuring project success, as a Project Controls Consultant, you will:· Provide project controls management, assisting clients to ensure projects are completed to timescales and within budget· Provide Estimating, Cost Control, Planning and Scheduling and Risk Management expertise· Interface with the project management team and all key stakeholders· Advise on the application of effective planning techniques and controls· Ensure the application of project controls processes are consistently applied· Prepare financial and project status information· With overall responsibility and support from the Head of Management Services impact the growth of the Project Controls capability within Whitetree from proposal input to mentoringLocation and Work EnvironmentYou will have the flexibility to work from home and travel to client sites when needed.
