We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced DCO & NSIP Permitting Project Developer to join our partners. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and securing Development Consent Orders (DCO) and Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIP) permits for our renewable energy projects. You will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, facilitating project approvals, and driving the successful delivery of renewable energy initiatives.Key Responsibilities:Project Management: Lead the development and execution of permitting strategies for DCO and NSIP projects, ensuring timely and efficient project delivery.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with relevant planning, environmental, and regulatory frameworks, including the Planning Act 2008 and the National Policy Statements.Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities, government agencies, landowners, and community groups.Application Preparation: Prepare and submit high-quality planning applications, environmental impact assessments (EIA), and supporting documentation for DCO and NSIP projects.Consultation Coordination: Organize and manage public consultations, hearings, and inquiries, ensuring effective communication and addressing stakeholder concerns.Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with project permitting and compliance, providing strategic advice to the project team.Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports on project progress, permitting status, and key milestones to senior management and stakeholders.Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, legal, finance, and external consultants to support project development and execution.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Planning, Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in permitting and project development within the renewable energy sector, with a focus on DCO and NSIP projects.Knowledge: Strong understanding of UK planning regulations, environmental legislation, and renewable energy policies.Skills: Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills. Proficiency in preparing and reviewing technical documents and applications.
