Project Director - Solar EPC

We have a unique and exciting full time, permanent opportunity with a forward-thinking, fast-growing, green-energy focused, engineering business in the North of England. The Project Director will play a critical role Managing Multiple EPC Projects countrywide.

Package includes:

Competitive salary DOE, Car allowance and 22 days holiday + BH.

The successful candidate shall possess the following qualifications as a minimum:

  • SMSTS
  • IOSH or NEBOSH Strongly Preferred
  • HND/HNC in construction management or equivalent Electrical Discipline
  • 5-10 Years experience within EPC Projects ranging from 2MW upwards.

Main Duties of the Job Role will be as follows:

  • Managing Multiple EPC Projects countrywide, ensuring adherence of acceleration of programmes are met.
  • Progress Monitoring and reporting to key stakeholders of the GLE Organisation and Key stakeholders associated with each project
  • Conducting necessary H+S and Progress Audits on each scheme weekly
  • Managing all commercial aspects of the projects with assistance of the Commercial Director and allocated Quantity Surveyor to collate CVR Information
  • Ensuring compliance within delivery to necessary permit requirements, inductions, provision of qualified personnel to complete works
  • Liaison with site management teams to ensure site issues are resolved in a timely, compliant manner
  • Overall responsibility for execution of works on EPC Contracts.
  • Provide main interface between GLE Organisation and Clients to ensure a constant line of communication between stakeholders

Experience Required.

  • Knowledge of HV Systems - SAP Requirements and necessary permit to complete works.
  • Experience within Civils aspects of EPC Schemes.
  • Knowledge of mechanical installations, ventilation requirements and associated controls
  • Experience of SCADA Based Control Systems
  • Knowledge of CDM 2015 Regulations
