Position: Project DirectorSalary: Up to £100,000 plus bonus + benefits Location: London with some European travel This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced development professional to join a leading international investor, developer and fund manager in infrastructure. With an entrepreneurial spirit and agile approach to investing, my client takes responsibility to integrate environmental, social and governance factors seriously and are committed to being responsible investors.The Project Director will manage a bid team and will have the skills to prepare and submit winning propositions and bids, whilst taking ownership of end-to-end bid processes. The Project Director will typically be responsible for managing the project opportunity from initial identification and pre-qualification/shortlisting, through to Financial and Commercial Close.About youEducated to degree level5 years progressional experience in infrastructure, social infrastructure, PPP/PFI, other project finance and related sectors/disciplines Excellent communication skills and strong ability to work a range of environments and complex multi-workstream solutionsSound commercial understanding and risk management skillsAbility to travel frequently in UK and Ireland and periodically in Europe About the role Management of the pre-bid stage through to financial close processManagement of a bid team, including inputs from key stakeholders, building contractor, facilities management provider, design team as well as financial/legal and commercial inputCreate a clear bid win strategy for each project opportunity and ensure win themes are clear and compelling as well as a strong investment caseUnderstand and resolve PPP/infrastructure technical, strategic and business issuesPrepare and review the technical aspects of any bid or proposition in collaboration with supply chain and design team, ensuring due diligence is undertaken projects are fully costed Risk management effectively undertaken throughout the bid and financial close processWriting, or compiling the input of a bid team into the final written proposal for any bid, both in terms of content and presentation, including executive summaries and providing guidance around narrative and styleManaging bid budgets, monitoring and tracking performance of bid and deal teams overall Ensuring timescales are achieved at each step of the bid and financial close process, including internal governance, whilst taking the initiative around realistic deadlinesEnsuring on-time submissions of compliant and sound bids and offersCo-ordinate and plan periodic client presentations required as part of the bid submissionDrive continuous improvement, through post-bid reviews, both internally and with customersTo find out more about this role please contact Oli Coote on +44 (0) 203 757 #####
