Project Engineer - Building Services (Design Management)Sector: Aviation / ConstructionSalary: £55,000 - £60,000 + Flex Allowance + up to 15% Bonus + BenefitsLocation: Hybrid / South EastMust have Right to Work in UKRef: SC#757Our Client is seeking an As Project Engineer to support across a portfolio of projects within their building services division within a live airport environment. This role has involvement in every stage of the project process including ensuring all projects are installed in line with approved designs.You will report into the Programme Design Manager and be a key part of the construction team, responsible for ensuring the design meets needs across varied £multi-million projects, including working in defined sub-programmes on complex projects.Key TasksDefine and develop the project scope to align with business needs and objectives.Gather and analyse business requirements.Develop a detailed project scope document.Ensure the scope addresses both immediate and future business needs.Deliver effective design management on individual projects.Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants.Manage the design process from inception to completion.Monitor and control design quality and adherence to specifications.Develop comprehensive design briefs for external design consultants.Draft detailed design briefs outlining project requirements.Ensure the design contract is effectively implemented and managed.Oversee contract execution and compliance.Manage contract performance throughout the design process (CDM Regulations 2015) with the support of CDM Advisor.Seek and implement sustainable design solutions to meet project requirements.Integrate energy-efficient design principles.Monitor and ensure compliance with sustainability goals.Work with multiple stakeholders to support the successful delivery of projects.Seek cost-effective design solutions and manage external design consultants.Provide technical input to any design changes throughout the project lifecycle.Manage health and safety risks in design.Education & Skills Required:Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services engineering discipline.Knowledge of technical and regulatory requirements related to Mechanical and Electrical engineering.Experience of coordinating design teams and multi-discipline engineering resources within a building services environment.Knowledge and experience in designing electrical, mechanical and other building service systems, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Public Services) standards.
