My client is a growing independent business based in South West London that has established itself over the last five years as a customer and service-focused business. Ranging from consultancy, fire and security technical installs, life safety building works, maintenance and compliance audits, they have taken advantage of the changing industry landscape to develop their client base and expand across the UK and Europe.

Having continued to grow my clients ambition means they are now looking for a Project Manager to lead a range of Passive Fire projects - across Fire Doors and Fire Stopping - and help guide their business to further success.

As a member of the Senior Management Team, you would be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of Passive Fire Engineering projects, from initial planning and budgeting to implementation and final inspection.

Taking on their current Passive Fire projects; leading their teams and managing their growth; nurturing their client relationships and networking to broaden their reputation – all these are areas for development that will expand in line with your influence and success. My clients Project Manager for Passive Fire Engineering will perform a variety of roles, as -

Ambassador

* Whether tendering for new contracts, managing stakeholders and ongoing projects, attending site or resolving complex challenges, you will allow your composure, knowledge, professionalism and customer awareness to assure their clients are receiving the highest quality service.

Subject Matter Expert

* As an experienced Passive Fire Engineer, you will likely have led both Fire Door and Fire Stopping projects and have a wealth of knowledge of passive fire protection systems, materials, and their applications in different building settings.

* Providing technical support to the internal business and onsite engineering teams.

* Your comprehensive understanding of ongoing regulations, technological developments and market awareness will inspire confidence and your expertise will help to maintain the company’s professional and corporate accreditations such as BAFE, FIA, SSAIB.

Project Leader

* Oversee management of the PPM service contracts, reactive maintenance and project installations.

* Monitor and make adjustments to project performance – from accuracy of quotations, quality of works and budgetary management to Engineer performance and managing client expectations.

* Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets, and monitor progress to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget constraints.

* Coordinate and supervise a team of technicians, installers, and contractors during the installation and maintenance of passive fire projects

* Maintain accurate project documentation, including reports, logs, and records of work performed, as well as safety compliance documentation.

* Address and resolve any project-related issues or conflicts that may arise, working proactively to prevent potential delays or setbacks.

* Conduct regular progress meetings with project stakeholders to provide updates on project status, discuss any challenges, and develop mitigation strategies.

Mentor

* Lead, support and develop your team of Engineers to ensure the highest professional standards are achieved at all times.

* Using your organisational awareness, work collaboratively with administrative and support teams on workload and engineer diary planning to ensure optimal performance and client satisfaction.
