Forming part of a larger construction group, this company are fire safety specialists and quality leading experts within the fire protection, fire door and compartmentalisation industry. They provide fire safety surveys and installations such as fire doors and fire risk assessments to many sectors, such as; Commercial, Residential, Healthcare Student Accommodation and Hotels.
The Project Manager Role
Reporting to the Operations Director the successful Project Manager will strengthen the contracts team and manage the implementation and delivery of a wide variety of fire door related installation projects nationwide.
The successful Project Manager will be expected to take projects through the full life cycle, including fire door inspections, survey work, elements of pricing and procurement, as well as delivering the projects with the support of the site management team.
Key Roles & Responsibilities of the Project Manager role include:
Build good relationships with the client and project team.
Ensure all aspects of the installation process are satisfactorily completed on time and within cost and to the highest possible standards.
Be able to carry out perfect delivery and produce snag free jobs.
Must be able to run multiple contracts at one time
Liaison with construction teams and landlords and clients.
Design control and coordination directly liaise with designers.
Coordinate contractors / design against spec and costs.
Clear understanding of standard work practices / relevant BS standards and codes.
The Successful Project Manager:
Whilst the position is based in the Midlands, nationwide travel, may be required as part of the role.
It is essential you have previous demonstratable experience in Passive Fire Protection, particular passive relating to fire doors and associated systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, integrity, respect for confidentiality, sound judgment and decision making skills.
Be efficient, detail and quality minded, hardworking, flexible and responsible with a positive working attitude and a willingness to support colleagues.
Ability to work to deadlines.
Relevant training and qualifications.
A full UK driving licence.
