Approach Personnel are working in conjunction with an established and growing main contractor to recruit an experience Project Manager based in Leicestershire, Coventry or South Birmingham. As the Project Manager, you will have the responsibility managingg projects frominception to completion and ensuring that projects are planned, managed, financially controlled and submits reports as the needs of the project require. Additionally, you will work on construction and refurbishment projects of up to £5m in value across various sectors including healthcare, education and commercial.

You will also be responsible for, but not limited to;


  • Ensuring that the allocated projects are run efficiently and profitably; ensuring full compliance to Health and Safety legislation and contract conditions, as well as completed to a high standard, in a safe working manner, within programme and to the total satisfaction of our client.
  • Oversee Site Managers the day-to-day running of projects and Co-ordination and monitoring of subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Attendance of regular site meetings with client, Architect, Quantity Surveyor, Planning Supervisor etc.
  • Preparation of reports, programmes, progress and profitability reports.
  • Pricing and agreeing instructions with the client or client’s agent.
  • Contribute to formulating valuations and final accounts.
  • Assisting with the preparation of tenders.
  • To procure, negotiate terms and monitor the performance of sub-contractors and suppliers.
  • Supporting and monitoring Health & Safety practices and CDM Regulations on site.

To be considered and successful with this opportunity, you should have but not limited to;


  • A qualification in Construction or Construction Management or Building Studies and/or a trades background or equivalent
  • An extensive experience managing construction and refurbishment projects across healthcare, education and commercial, ideally from a main or principal contractor background
  • Good knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, CDM regulations and compliance
  • CSC Card, SMSTS/SSSTS and First Aid at work
  • You must be flexible to travel as projects are across the the UK
