Are you looking to develop your expertise in the exciting and challenging environment of nuclear new build?If so, join us as a Project Manager and you’ll join one of the most exciting and ambitious projects within EDF, as we continue to lead the rebirth of nuclear in the UK.The Opportunity...At Hinkley Point C (HPC) we are building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes.EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) established in 2023, oversees the design (basic design) and the realisation (studies, procurement, erection, testing and commissioning) of nuclear islands for new projects.EPR-E is responsible for delivering the design for a number of NI buildings, systems and equipment contracts for the Hinkley Point C EPR Project through an integrated team, support to HPC construction and commissioning activities, and preparing design replication feasibility and engineering activities for the Sizewell C Project. Therefore, a Technical Directorate is being created, responsible for the engineering disciplines and technical expertise required to deliver the different engineering projects through integrated teams in EPR-E.As a Project Manager (Extended Enterprise), you will play a crucial role in overseeing the integration process to enhance visualisation and resolve co-activity issues prior to on-site installation as we commence to integrate the design of the Execution designers into the EPR-E Master 3D Model.Pay, benefits and culture…Alongside a salary from 65,000 to 75,000, we offer a competitive benefits package, including a company pension scheme, a wide range of flexible benefits to suit your lifestyle, and the opportunity to earn bonus.  At EDF, everyone’s welcome. We strive to create an inclusive and diverse environment where everyone has a voice and where you feel confident being yourself.  We’re committed to equality, diversity and inclusion.  We’d like our future workforce to have an equal gender balance, represent a broad mix of people from minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+, those with a disability and supporting social mobility.  We’re a disability confident employer and we’ll do all we can to help with your application, making adjustments as you need.  We’ll value the difference you bring and offer opportunities for you to thrive and succeed.What you’ll be doing…Managing the deployment of the Piping Execution Designer, overseeing utilisation of execution designer tools, readiness of EDF IT servers, technical tests and evaluations, resolution of coactivity open points, adherence to contractual aspects, change management processes, reintegration by Bilfinger process and associated tests and the coordination of deployment activities.Ensuring seamless transfer of HVAC Execution Designer scope into the EPR-E Master 3D Model.Driving continuous improvement initiatives for engineering sequences, particularly post-integration of Execution Designers into the EPR-E Master 3D Model.Collaborating with Model Managers to ensure Execution Designers adhere to modelling rules and maintain expected quality standards.Managing cost and budget allocation effectively to ensure project success.Who you are…Your background may include some of the following:Proficient in facilitating discussions to address issues and achieve pragmatic resolutions that meet the needs of various stakeholders within the HPC integrated team.Thrives in technically challenging environments with multiple urgent demands.Skilled at prioritising tasks by seeking clarification from multiple stakeholders and considering the broader context to minimise schedule and cost implications.Experience in one or more engineering disciplines such as Layout, HVAC, Piping, Electrical, Mechanical, Contracts, Safety.Previous experience with 3D design software (for example PDMS/ E3D) and knowledge of HVAC, Piping, and layout rules for industrial projects would be desirable.French language skills would be desirable, as multiple workshops to be held with French teams (in UK and France).
