Project ManagerContract Duration: 9 Months InitiallyLocation: London (Hybrid working expected)Day rate: CompetitiveReed Professional Services is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team, working with the Client within the National Crime and Justice Lab (NCJL). The role involves managing interdependencies between projects and programmes and developing the Programme Management Office function. This is a pivotal role that requires a candidate with a strong background in Portfolio and Programme Management within Central Government.Day-to-day of the role:Plan and coordinate interdependencies across projects, including the development and maintenance of project plans.Produce and maintain Project and Programme Business Cases.Develop and agree on project and programme budgets, forecasting actual costs against them.Establish processes and standards for managing risks and issues.Ensure appropriate governance is in place and arrange external reviews as necessary.Establish and implement protocols to change the scope of projects and programmes, updating configuration documents as required.Identify, develop, and share best practices in project management processes, tools, and templates, benchmarking against industry standards.Required Skills & Qualifications:Prior experience in Portfolio and Programme Management with Central Government.Demonstrable experience in developing and maturing a Programme Management Office function.Proven track record of developing project business cases and taking them through approval stages for sign-off.Strong experience in developing and managing stakeholder relationships.Extensive experience in delivering high-quality project management services.Valid SC level Security Clearance is essential.Desirable:Previous experience working for a consultancy.Experience in delivering.Benefits:Competitive contract rate.Opportunity to work on significant projects within the public sector.Hybrid working model, offering flexibility.To apply for the Project Manager position, please submit your CV.
