Project Manager�
Location: Norwich (Preferably within a practical commuting distance)
Contract Type: 6-Month Contract
Hours: 07:30 - 17:30 (Flexible dependent on project requirements)
Rate: �300 to �400 per day
Role Overview:
A Project Manager is required to be involved in the design phase of a project and report directly to the Project Lead. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing technical aspects and ensuring project objectives are met. The role demands someone who is adaptable and able to work independently, while also leading a team effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the project, ensuring all deadlines and objectives are met.
- Work closely with the Project Lead, reporting on project progress and any challenges.
- Lead and direct project teams to ensure successful delivery.
- Oversee the design phase, collaborating with relevant teams to ensure the project is aligned with specifications.
- Maintain clear communication with stakeholders, ensuring that expectations are managed effectively.
- Ensure that health, safety, and compliance standards are adhered to, including monitoring site activities.
- Manage risks, identify issues, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Work in challenging environments, including the potential for MoJ/Prison-related projects.
Key Requirements:
- Qualifications:
- NVQ L6 or equivalent project management qualifications.
- Certifications:
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
- Black CSCS Card (essential)
- Experience:
- Extensive experience working in challenging environments (e.g., MoJ, Prisons) would be advantageous.
- Proven track record in leading and managing project teams.
- Ability to work autonomously and make decisions with minimal supervision.
- Technical Skills:
- Fully IT conversant and proficient in using project management tools.
