Job Title: Mechanical Project Engineer/Project Manager

Location: Gatwick, UK

Contract: 12 months (Outside IR35)



We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Project Engineer/Project Manager to join a dynamic team within a leading process company based in Gatwick. This exciting contract opportunity offers a chance to work on high-profile projects and make a tangible impact in the mechanical and piping engineering fields.



Key Responsibilities:





  • Manage and oversee mechanical engineering projects from inception to completion.




  • Coordinate all aspects of mechanical design, installation, and commissioning for process systems.




  • Ensure timely delivery of projects within budget, adhering to quality and safety standards.




  • Liaise with internal teams, clients, and external contractors to ensure project objectives are met.




  • Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of mechanical and piping activities.




  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and site teams.




  • Prepare detailed progress reports, risk assessments, and project documentation.




  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.





Required Qualifications & Experience:





  • Strong mechanical engineering background with extensive experience in mechanical/piping systems.




  • Proven experience in project management and delivering mechanical projects within a process industry environment.




  • Previous involvement in managing large-scale mechanical and piping projects.




  • Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations in the mechanical and process engineering sectors.




  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.




  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.




  • Previous experience working in a contract-based role is highly desirable.
