Contract Length: Initial contract, with potential for extension upon successful tender

Rate: Competitive, negotiable based on experience



The Opportunity



Our client are currently tendering for a large-scale construction project and requires an experienced Project Planner to develop a detailed Programme of Works that meets the client's requirements.
As this is a specialised skill set they don’t have in-house, they are looking for an expert to join us on an initial contract basis, with the potential for an extended engagement should they secure the project.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Develop a comprehensive Programme of Works for a major construction tender, ensuring compliance with project requirements.

  • Utilise MS Project (or other relevant planning software) to create detailed schedules, timelines, and critical path analysis.

  • Work closely with senior management, project teams, and stakeholders to gather information and structure an achievable programme.

  • Identify key milestones, dependencies, and risks within the programme.

  • Provide advice on planning best practices, sequencing, and resource allocation.

  • Adjust and refine the programme based on feedback and evolving project needs.

  • Support the team in presenting and explaining the Programme of Works to the client.



Key Requirements:




  • Proven experience as a Project Planner in the construction industry, ideally on large-scale projects.

  • Strong proficiency in MS Project (or equivalent planning software).

  • Ability to develop detailed, structured, and compliant Programmes of Works.

  • Understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and risk management.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Ability to work autonomously and deliver within tight deadlines.
