Our client are one of the UK's leading manufacturers in Commercial and Industrial Lighting sector. They are in need of a Project Sales Engineer to cover the East Anglia region. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and generating lighting projects, deal with sales enquiries, develop our client's brand within the contracting sector and of course, secure new business with local specification and end-user clients. 

 



Main Responsibilities: 




  • Collaborate with the CEF branch network to identify and create project opportunities.

  • Communicate with key stakeholders to clarify their needs and highlight the benefits of the schemes.

  • Conduct site surveys as necessary to determine the scope of the work involved.

  • Oversee the design process alongside the Technical Design department to ensure customer requirements are fulfilled accurately and on schedule.

  • Ensure that all tenders, quotations, and technical submissions are precise and moving forward appropriately.

  • Deliver monthly reports to the Management team in a pre-agreed format and on time.

  • Develop a pipeline of project opportunities for the short, medium, and long term from the contractor and installer customer base in the region, enhancing visibility and presence on customer sites.

  • Foster strong and effective working relationships with CEF branch teams, customers, and internal departments.

  • Identify potential projects within the local authorities and the NHS sector for specification work.



Required Skills:




  • Proven experience managing small to large lighting projects throughout survey, design, tender, and sales phases.

  • Familiarity with the local contractor and installer network that provides immediate access to leads and contacts.

  • A minimum of 3 years in selling the features and benefits of various lighting products, including lighting controls.

  • Strong determination and organizational skills to achieve annual sales growth in line with defined targets and objectives.

  • Experience with CRM systems, Microsoft 365, and RELUX software.

  • A friendly, hard-working demeanor with a desire to integrate into a strong team culture.

  • A diligent and thorough approach to administration and communication tasks.

  • A valid UK Driving License.
