Job Title: Interim Project Surveyor

Location: West Midlands

Duration: 6-months ongoing

Salary/Rate: Inside IR35 - �(Apply online only) per day (Negotiable DOE)

Our client, a local authority in the West Midlands, is seeking an experienced Interim Project Surveyor. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing maintenance and construction works within the Corporate Property Portfolio, including planned and responsive maintenance, refurbishments, adaptations, extensions, and alterations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage maintenance and construction projects across the Corporate Property Portfolio.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the Corporate Asset Management Plan.
  • Provide advice and input on refurbishment or new build projects to optimize maintenance regimes.
  • Prepare bills of quantities, schedules of work, budget estimates, feasibility studies, and specification documents for building works.
  • Liaise with contractors, carry out site visits, inspections, and measurements of work in progress.
  • Undertake inspections and update computer records for the Public Buildings Conditions Survey and Asset Management Plan.

Shortlisting Criteria

  • Relevant technical qualification in surveying or construction management.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS).
  • Significant experience in managing maintenance and construction projects within a corporate property portfolio.
  • Proficient in preparing and managing documentation related to construction and maintenance projects.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems for property surveying and asset management.
  • Previous experience working within a local authority or public sector environment.
