Property Lawyer

Contract Type: 3 months initially
Rate: £40-£50 - Negotiable DOE
A local authority based in North Wales are looking to bring in an experienced Property Lawyer to help their Legal Services team due to a peak in workload. This role involves handling a non-contentious caseload, providing expert legal advice on property, procurement, and contract law, and supporting key council priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide legal advice and draft documentation for property transactions, procurement, and contract law matters.
Advise on freedom of information requests related to legal practice.
Represent the Council in tribunals, hearings, mediations, and inquiries when required.
Deliver training within areas of expertise and support junior staff and trainees.
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support a collaborative, one-council approach.
Ensure high standards of legal practice, engage in continuous professional development, and attend relevant training
Key Requirements:
✔ Qualified Solicitor, CILEX Lawyer, or Barrister with a current practising certificate
✔ Minimum 2 years' post-qualified experience in one or more of the following areas: procurement law, property transactions and Construction contracts.
