You will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with mental health disorders. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support for individuals admitted to psychiatric hospital.
*Your job description includes various responsibilities:*
* Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations of newly admitted patients.
* Perform mental status examinations and gather relevant patient history.
* Identify and diagnose various mental health disorders.
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in consultation with senior psychiatrists.
* Prescribe and monitor the effectiveness of psychiatric medications.
* Provide psychotherapeutic interventions, including supportive therapy and crisis intervention.
* Regularly review and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress.
* Conduct follow-up assessments and manage any side effects of medications.
* Coordinate with other healthcare providers for integrated care.
* Respond to psychiatric emergencies, providing immediate assessment and intervention.
* Develop safety plans and manage patients at risk of harm to themselves or others.

* *Locations: *Edgware(we also have inpatient/community shifts atBarnet, Enfield & Haringey/Camden)
* *Start date: *ASAP-ongoing, no end date yet.
* *Days per week: *Monday-Friday (one/two/three days per week available)
* *Shift pattern*: 9:00-17:00.
* *Pay rate*: £59+ per hour (depending on experience).
* *Payment method: PAYE *we do NOT facilitate payment through LTD/umbrella companies.
*The minimum requirements for the role are:*
* Valid GMC.
* Right to work in the UK.
* Clinical attachment complete.
* Minimum 3 months paid UK experience.
* AC Status essential.
* S12 desirable.
