Psychology Graduate Opportunity at SEMH School in Warrington - September Start

Position: Psychology Graduate, Location: Warrington, Start Date: September

About the Role:

As a Psychology Graduate at our SEMH school, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs. Your expertise and enthusiasm will help create a positive and nurturing learning environment, empowering students to achieve their full potential. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop your skills in a supportive and rewarding setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs).
  • Work closely with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to create a holistic approach to student development.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive atmosphere that encourages student engagement and success.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the educational team and parents.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Psychology or a related field.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and young people with SEMH needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.
  • Previous experience in an educational or care setting is desirable but not essential.

To be considered for this position you will:
- have previous school experience and be familiar with the SIMS system
- Be a committed professional
- Be an organised, enthusiastic proactive person
-Hold a child workforce enhanced DBS certificate which is on the update service, or be willing to apply for a new one (costs refunded back to you when you complete 20 days work)
-have satisfactory references
-have a CV must that covers the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any gaps in employment must be explained;
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
