Pub Operator - Levenshulme Manchester, Manchester
The Levenshulme has a dominant roadside position in the area of Levenshulme, Manchester. It is situated on a main road between Stockport and Manchester and is surrounded by residential property and local shops. It is a community-led local and consists of a main bar service, lounge area, and games room and has one of the best beer gardens in the area. The pub is mainly wet-led and has no trade kitchen to serve food but does well on light snacks from the bar.

The Levenshulme is a traditionally styled pub boasting a large main lounge and a smaller bar accommodating a pool table and area for darts, both served by a central bar service. The pub is in good condition throughout having recently benefited from new carpet, hard flooring, new seating and a toilet refurbishment. The pub is perfect for holding live music events, with a small corner stage in the lounge area. Wall-mounted television screens are perfect for sports viewing and are a key feature of the pub.

The Levenshulme is a roadside pub with a fantastic external area split into two at the rear. There is a large covered smoking area with an open log fireplace and TVs for sports viewing. This opens out onto a large sun trap beer garden which is decked and fitted with built-in furniture, with space for a barbeque. The external area is fully enclosed and is the biggest of all the pubs in the local vicinity.
Levenshulme is midway between Manchester city centre and Stockport. The pub is situated amongst an abundance of shops, and businesses and forms part of a busy circuit of pubs, cafes, restaurants and takeaways. Levenshulme is currently seeing a resurgence in new independent businesses opening, including new bars and restaurants and is tipped as being one of the new up-and-coming suburbs of Manchester. A younger demographic is now moving into the area, attracted by lower-than-average house prices coupled with its facilities and proximity to Manchester.

Lisa says The Levenshulme has a well-established customer base, having been run for the past four years by a community-focused operator. The new operator should be able to move this community sports-led business to the next level by continuing the successful events schedule and adding their personality to drive the business forward. The beer garden is an asset, being one of the best within the area and needs to be well promoted to optimise its potential throughout the warmer months.
