Public Affairs and PR ManagerLondonHybrid (3 days office, 2 days home-based)Up to £52,500Step into a pivotal role as our client's Public Affairs and PR Manager, where you'll be at the forefront of crafting and driving the public affairs output while amplifying media presence. Collaborate with senior leadership, engage with key stakeholders, and lead impactful strategies that champion the members' interests.Key Responsibilities:Public Affairs:Support the creation and implementation of an impactful public affairs strategy in collaboration with senior management and the Council.Devise and execute public affairs campaigns, both proactive and reactive, to support organizational objectives.Advocate for policy and regulatory changes benefiting Chartered ABS members, particularly in higher education policy.Raise the profile of Chartered ABS and Small Business Charter (SBC) through strategic external engagement and lobbying activities.Identify and respond to policy consultations, calls for evidence, and inquiries from government bodies and regulators.Maximize the impact of consultation responses, securing policy changes and recognition for Chartered ABS.Engage politicians, stakeholders, and funding bodies using our research and reports.Draft briefing notes for politicians and stakeholders on relevant higher education and small business policy issues.Raise member awareness and engagement with our public affairs and research activities.Develop and implement measurement mechanisms to evaluate the success and impact of our public affairs strategy.Act as a spokesperson, representing the organization at meetings, events, and conferences.Monitor and evaluate legislative and regulatory developments to identify opportunities for Chartered ABS and SBC.PR:Lead the development of UK media thought-leadership campaigns for Chartered ABS and SBC.Plan and deliver timely and comprehensive reactive media responses and materials.Produce communications materials such as press releases, articles, videos, and social media content.Build strong relationships with journalists and stakeholders to influence media coverage and enhance our reputation.Provide communications counsel and advice to senior management and Council/Board members.Create thought-leadership and interview opportunities for senior representatives on relevant topics.Generate PR opportunities around our research, reports, events, and other programs.Oversee media monitoring, both traditional and social.Develop measurement mechanisms to evaluate the success and impact of PR activities.If you are passionate about public affairs and PR and are looking to make a significant impact, we want to hear from you!
