Your new role
Reporting to the Senior Finance Officer as Purchase Ledger Clerk, your day-to-day role will be to support in the efficient and effective delivery of services within the Finance Department.You will maintain the day-to-day operation of MindWise's Purchase Order and Purchase Ledger, to ensure the purchase order system is kept up to date, maintain the day-to-day operation of the Sales Ledger, maintain a range of financial records, post payments and receipts to Sage 200, input staff expense details into the relevant documentation for payment, deliver timely performance taking responsibility and accountability for quality outcomes, ensure personal data is handled in line with GDPR policy and procedure, embrace innovative methods and ICT technologies to improve service delivery and work in accordance with MindWise policies, codes and procedures. You will comply with the financial procedures and highlight system improvements, advocate for the organisation in all dealings with staff, clients and partners.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be educated to GCSE level with a minimum of 5 at grade C or above, and have one year's experience working in a similar post within a finance department, experience of operating a purchase ledger within a computerised financial accounting system, Excellent Excel skills to support financial information and the core values of MindWise will be at the heart of all you do. Experience of Sage Line 50 or Sage 200, previous experience of a finance department in the charity sector, experience of using a computerised purchase order system and an IATI qualification would be an advantage.
