Accounts Assistant | Part time | South Belfast | Hybrid working Reed Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be working with a charitable organisation in South Belfast who have an opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. This is a permanent opportunity, part-time 20 hours per week and offers hybrid working. The Role: The post holder will support the Senior Finance Officer in the efficient and effective delivery of services within the Finance Department. More specific duties will involve: Maintain the day-to-day operation of the Purchase Order and Purchase Ledger, to include (but not limited to) the following key tasks: Ensuring the purchase order system is kept up to date with new staff and project changes Processing of all invoices and credit notes Preparing payments to suppliers Reconciling supplier accounts to statements Reconciling the control account Supporting with the day-to-day operation of the Sales Ledger, to include (but not limited to) the following key tasks: Processing of all invoices and credit notes Posting receipts Reconciling accounts Reviewing the ledger to identify overdue amounts Contacting overdue debtors to obtain payment Maintain a range of financial records including, but not limited to, staff mileage records, insurance records, petty cash returns, reconciliation of credit cards Post payments and receipts to Sage 200 Input staff expense details into the relevant documentation for payment The Person: Applicants will have previous accounts experience, ideally within the 3rd sector although this in not essential. Applicants will ideally hold an ATI qualification or equivalent. Applicants will have experience working with Sage 200 software and will have excellent MS Excel skills. Applicants will be able to work as part of a small team and will have excellent communication skills.
