Taylor Stevenson are proud to be working with a leading automotive distributor based in Newtownabbey, Northern Ireland who are looking for a purchasing assistant to join their team.
This is a great opportunity for an individual with procurement experience to join a growing team with huge potential to progress.
You will be assisting the Purchasing Manager and contributing to efficient procurement processes.
Responsibilities-
- Work on multiple computer systems to complete a wide range of tasks, including data input
- Liaise and communicate with internal and external stakeholders both orally and in writing
- Handle complex data with attention to detail and accuracy
- Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and inventory, ensuring data is easily accessible
- Prepare purchase orders and track deliveries to ensure timely receipt of goods
- Provide general administrative support to the purchasing department
- Any other duties as required by the Purchasing Manager.
Skills required-
- You will be an experienced administrator who has worked within a busy office environment
- Ideally you will have proven experience in a similar role within procurement
- � Strong negotiation skills and an ability to build productive relationships with suppliers
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication, organisational and time management skills
- You will be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook and Word)
- Strong attention to detail and data management skills
- Naturally you will have a positive attitude and a willingness to take on challenges.
Monday-Friday 8.30am-5.30pm
Salary- �26k-�28k dependant on experience
