Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by a leading manufacturing company to recruit a Purchasing Assistant. The successful applicant will support the Procurement department by coordinating the procurement of goods and services. You will manage supplier relationships and assist with inventory management.
The Role:
- Creating and processing purchase orders
- Manage suppliers to ensure product availability, discrepancies and track deliveries
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure that stock is replenished on time
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all purchase activities
- Support Senior Procurement team with negotiations
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a purchasing/procurement essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order processing and record-keeping.
