Our client is looking to appoint a Buyer/Expeditor to join their busy Procurement Team . This is a newly created position to support the busy procurement and stores teams.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Place and track purchase orders ensuring timely delivery to meet manufacturing schedules
  • Build relationships with suppliers to deliver savings and OTD
  • Review Open Order Books
  • Liaise with suppliers to pro-actively progress open orders
  • Updating and maintaining the ERP systems
  • Monitoring inventory levels and highlight material shortages
  • Support the Purchasing Team with Ad Hoc requirements

Experience and knowledge of the role:

  • Experience working in a purchasing or supply chain role within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience using ERP/MRP system
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong understanding of MS Office
  • Self-motivated with a can-do positive attitude. Team Player
  • Supply Chain Degree or equivalent is desirable but not essential

Our client offers Hybrid Working, Bonus & Share Scheme and a 12pm early Friday Finish.
