Purpose of role and accountabilities:

Being ‘hands on’ supporting the Customer Interface and Supply Chain Manager in the efficient running of the section, being the first point of contact for the team and helping with communication throughout the shift to ensure that quality goods are delivered on time in full from the supply chain.

* To support the Customer Service and Supply Chain Manager in the efficient running of the sections to ensure daily production requirements are achieved and to cover the role of the Supply Chain Manager as and when required.

* Responsible for ensuring pertinent information is communicated throughout the team as directed by the Supply Chain Manager.

* To monitor the supply chain stock reduction plan to ensure all targets are achieved in line with the overall site stock reduction plan.

* Participating in Quality & Engineering improvement activities as and when the need arises and ensure that employees understand and work within agreed quality standards.

* Responsible for the training and development of all team members in accordance with the skills matrices, including identifying training needs and carrying out personal development reviews.

* First point of call for members of the team to deal with day-to-day issues and immediate concerns and queries and to raise the necessary paperwork accordingly.

* To monitor employee attendance patterns with the assistance of Human Resources and takes corrective action if necessary including return to work interviews.

* To participate in the recruitment and selection of new employees.

* Ensure that the team are working to the correct priorities as specified by the Supply Chain Manager.

* Ensuring the section is clean and tidy and maintaining any 5S programs running in that area and any concerns regarding health & safety are brought to the Supply Chain Manager’s attention.

* Review and update all purchase price variants
