An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic self-motivated candidate to join an established business as Purchasing Lead.
The successful candidate will ideally be from a Manufacturing/Engineering background.
Key Responsibilities:
To support the Customer Service and Supply Chain Manager in the efficient running of the sections
Ensure daily production requirements are achieved and to cover the role of the Supply Chain Manager as and when required.
To monitor the supply chain stock reduction plan to ensure all targets are achieved in line with the overall site stock reduction plan.
Participating in Quality & Engineering improvement activities
Responsible for the training and development of all team members
Ensuring the section is clean and tidy and maintaining any 5S programs running in that area and any concerns regarding health & safety are brought to the Supply Chain Managers attention.
Key Skills
Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
Proven track record of successful supplier negotiations and contract management.
Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems, purchasing software, and data analysis tools.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and team management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Salary £38- £40k dependent on experience
