Jackson Hogg is delighted to working with a North-East based manufacturing business on the appointment a Purchasing Manager to lead their Industrial Indirect Categories.
Leading an already well-established team of Senior Buyers, Buyers and Purchasing Administrators across multiple sites, the Purchasing Manager will be responsible for strategically managing �150m in spend across a variety of Indirect categories including MRO, Facilities and Energy. The successful candidate will be tasked to develop category strategies, lead global sourcing projects, manage complex commercial contracts and negotiations whilst simultaneously leading by example and setting the pace for the team through driving best practice and coaching.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experience:

• A background in managing the end to end procurement of Indirect Categories


• Proven success in a people leadership position with the ability to coach, empower, mentor and inspire


• Excellent commercial acumen and understanding


• Strong negotiation skills


• Ability to communicate with ease across all levels with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers
