Purchasing & Stock Assistant Winchester �23k pro rata 22.5 hours PW

We are looking for a part time Purchasing and Stock Assistant to join this cohesive and supportive team in Winchester. This is a permanent role. You will work 22.5 hours per week which can either be five days a week or split over three days. This is an office-based role.

The Role

Reporting directly to and collaborating with the Department Manager, the successful candidate will take charge of this crucial product sector. Your responsibilities will span from coordinating with our sales team and processing orders with suppliers, to managing stock and arranging the dispatch of finished items. Excellence in customer service and meticulous attention to detail are the cornerstones of this role.

While experience in inventory control, including purchasing, stock management, invoice verification, pricing maintenance, and quotation preparation, is preferred, comprehensive training will be provided.

Proficiency in Excel and Word is required. The role involves extensive communication via email and phone with suppliers both in the UK and internationally, necessitating clear and concise instruction. Effective communication with our sales teams in London and New York is also essential.

The Person

A flexible and proactive approach to various tasks, coupled with the ability to meet tight deadlines while ensuring accuracy in system information, is crucial.

Prior experience in an office or warehouse setting is essential.

This is a part time office-based role. There is parking on site.
